Winter Storm Tips | Most of us have heard a winter storm is on the way that can bring significant snow fall with freezing temperatures. This put us at risk for power outages and property damage. Our team at Manzi Insurance wants to provide a few quick tips for safety - & fun! | - Keep driveways clear for first responders & emergency vehicles
- Prevent your pipes from freezing by opening up cabinets, running warm water, and turning your radiators on
- Know where your water shut off is
- Fill generators and car with gas (& do not run generators inside!)
- Keep the area around wood stoves and space heaters clear to reduce the risk of fire
- Have a plan to clear your roof from snow to prevent ice dams and damage. Invest in a roof rake to do it yourself, or hire a contractor
- Turn your heat up now to get your house warming
- Charge phones and set aside extra water in the event of a power outage
- Make a plan to enjoy a classic New England winter & have some fun!
